What is WMSO?
WMSO is a McCombs-affiliated organization open to all UT students that empowers members to become a part of the growing wealth management field.
We aim to provide financial education and insight on the wealth management industry that is applicable to students in both their professional and personal endeavors.
What does WMSO Do?
We host weekly events consisting of interactive financial planning workshops, company nights, socials, and collaborations with the McCombs Wealth Management Center.

Our meetings are typically from 6-7 pm on Thursdays, but check our weekly newsletter or Instagram (@wmso.tx) for all updated information and locations!
Financial Planning Workshops
Each of our financial planning workshops features an experienced Certified Financial Planner who guides members through an interactive case study. These events allow members to see through the eyes of an industry professional and learn how to approach various client situations.
Company Nights
Our company nights consist of representatives from a local wealth management company who speak about the services that their firm offers as well as their own personal experiences in the industry. These events are great networking opportunities for members searching for internships and/or first-hand insight into the wealth management industry.
Socials
Our social events range from profit shares at a local West Campus venue to bowling at the Union. These are great opportunities to meet other members in a relaxed environment and even gain internship insights.
